So I just got off the phone with Toyota dealership and they told me putting a remote start in my 2018 Toyota Tundra he strongly advised me not to do it. Cuz he said something about it has a tendency to throw the truck into limp mode and it won't work properly has anybody ran across this issue

Nope, I put 12volt solutions ones in my 17 tundra and 21 rav4, zero issues after several years.

Unless I am mistaken the key fob for your year should remote start it by doing three clicks on the lock button with the last click you hold until you see the lights flash. The range isn’t as good as some aftermarket systems but it works well enough. It will kill the engine when unlocking/entering the vehicle but it’s free.

I put 12volt solutions on my '13 rock warrior five years ago and it has worked great- no issues.

I’m sorry, for some reason I thought ‘18s did this as well. The 12volt solutions will probably be a good choice in that case then.

I put the 12 volt solutions in my 2019 and love it, no problems and pretty straightforward install with good directions.

Had a remote starter switch on my 2008 CM. Apparently installers like to use a low amp wire for convenience when installing. This intern can and dies cause problems. When the event happened the truck was 120 miles/ 200 km from a reliable repair shop. The truck gave a 'hot trans' wafning light. Shut it down for 45 min, tried again, no start.. nothing. Towdd to a toyota dealer. Long story short, fire in a wiring loom. New starter, new wiring, new battery... 4K$ covered by insurance. I now don't have RS.
