Remote start still works

So I signed up for one month of Remote Connect when I bought my 2020 last month. I did not auto renew because I really only need it for probably 4 or 5 months in the winter. It expired on the Thursdays the 7th. I tested the key fob remote start this working on it still works. I thought everyone said Toyota disabled it if you didn't keep the subscription.

 

I have never had a subscription and it has worked since I bought the truck used last year.

 

Pretty sure the remote connect is just for the Toyota app. At least that’s what the dealer told me. Key fob will always work since it’s just a transmitter unlike the Toyota app.
