Relocating stock dash switches... Auto Brights.

So my new '21 TRD Sport comes with the auto bright lights feature. I honestly dont like using it because it can't distinguish a car from a bright road sign or street light half the time. Anyway, they put it on the left side dash panel and I want to put my fog light switch there.

I was thinking of moving the switch for the auto bright lights to the panel below the A/C controls. I figure it should be pretty straight forward to pop it out and move it over, but thought I'd ask in case there was more to it. Only issue I'd suspect would be if it would reach. If not, and I assume it's just a couple wires, could I splice longer wires to make it reach?

If it's too much trouble I'll just leave it, but wanted to ask. Thanks..!

 

It will not reach that far. I would not splice wires on any of the switches like that. Some of those wires are very small guage as well.

 

Yeah, wonder if there is a oem harness for it to make it longer? I wont ever use it, maybe I'll just velcro it under or behind the dash, ha.
