Looking for some suggestions on Red Dot Sights that wont break the bank. Really just using for target shooting. Something serviceable but around a 100 bucks.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks

I picked up a cheap red dot for my .22LR for plinking, paid around $75 or so. It had great reviews on Amazon and Optics Planet so I figured it was worth a shot. Long story short I couldn't sight it in because something internal was broken. I also stripped a mounting screw while gently mounting it. I paid to ship it to the company and they sent me a new one. Still more of a red blob than a red dot.
I haven't tried to sight in the new one yet, but my general opinion is that it is cheaply made and not worth it.
I have an Aimpoint PRO on my AR, that's what I am used to, I love it.

Vortex strikefire 2. Little over the 100 dollar range but you'll appreciate its build quality and insanely tough durability. I've got two as backups just incase one fails or a buddy needs one.

2nd vote for the Vortex. Surprisingly good for the money.

I love the Osprey 5x red dot I have on my AR, but with the extended eye relief you have on the Mini I don't think it'd work real well.

Great company to deal with, awesome customer service as well. I've bought many things from them in the past and would highly recommend them. I run their red dots on a few of my AKs and while not Aimpoint quality they work well at an affordable price. I did break one once and they sent me a replacement with no questions asked.

I bought a few Tasco red dots. Great quality for the money. Only thing some people have issue with is the lens size is not impressively large.

IMO, unless you are competition shooting, just go with a simple 20$ one from Amazon. I have used the same red dots on my plinkers for years and maybe have 60 in them. and I have 3. Aside from that, I have 2 EOTech's also and that will definitely break a bank. You can get one from amazon with 2 different colors, 5 different intensities and 3 different reticles for stupid cheap. and for 20 bucks, you wont mind if you mess it up after a year or 2.
