    Excellent Question
    Bowtie to Toyota Conversion Kit
Hi everyone, my name is Travis and I am a recovering bowtie addict.

I have gone 0 days since my last use... I have owned (and still do at the time of typing this) 6 different silverados over the years. I am about 99% ready to make the leap to a Toyota.

I am eyeballing a 2023 Tundra with 16K miles, platinum 4wd. I would be lying if I said I am not concerned about the engine recall issues. I ran the VIN and nothing popped up. I have read hundreds of posts about good and bad.

My thought process is that I can jump from my CHE*Y with known engine and transmission issues where if anything happens, I am responsible. To a low mileage Tundra, also with known issues but at least Toyota has been replacing engines.

I am hoping to get over to the dealership this weekend and seal the deal. Anything in particular I should be looking for?

Cheers fellas, here's to a new addiction...

At least Toyota won't change the oil cap and tell you it's fixed.

Welcome from OKC! Sorry bud, I have to suggest a low mileage, unmolested, and rust free, 2021 that hasn't been in a flood. Why deal with something questionable everyday? Stress blows brother!

    Welcome.

FYI, Toyota isn't replacing all blown motors. Only specific year models. Might wanna see if that VIN falls within the recall years. Or consider an extended warranty.

    Confidence is high!
I agree though, the odds are in your favor.
Extended warranty is mandatory on any new vehicle with all the tech and you got that covered.

Welcome Travis from MN and enjoy your Platinum!
