I am looking for recommendations for a good DIY OBD scanner. I have a 2009 Tundra CrewMax SR5 4x4. I'd like to be able to scan and read the codes and anything else a DIY should be able to do without having to give my truck and cash up to the dealership. PSA I...AM...NOT...RICH. So affordability is a huge factor lol. thx!

You can buy the pro version but it's not necessary...that's what I use to read codes and clear...the pro version gives other things you can do and show is all. Torque lite is what I've rocked for years for all my vehicles.

I had one of the ones linked in the past and it works ok but the connection wasn't great and when you are checking codes I hated switching back and forth between internet and wifi to google the code. I now have this one...
    https://www.amazon.com/Veepeak-OBDC...ive&sprefix=veepe,automotive,233&sr=1-1-spons
it connects via Bluetooth and you can access the internet without disconnecting

    Too many, but not enough....
Veepeek with the obd fusion app is pretty solid and affordable. Nothing but good experience with mine.

You can buy the $14.99 model year diagnostics in OBD Fusion if you want to read all the available vehicle pids.

Gets pricey if you have multiple vehicles across different makes/years.

    You're welcome
added benefit is it's small so I just leave mine plugged in all the time so it's there when I want it
