Recently purchased a 2016 Tundra and am not sure what this device is! Looks like it’s aftermarket but I could be wrong. I don’t see a manufacturer or anything and from all I can tell the only thing that changed when I press the button (I have to hold it for a few seconds) is the light shown on the device toggles on/off. Any clues appreciated!

Thats the emergency brake. Use it while parking on hills or inclines.

but for real, i think thats like said above...simple alarm system or insurance tracker thing. either way, i'd prob pull it and get rid of it. dont' want it to be possibly done poorly and screw something else up.

I was hoping it was going to be something cooler than that like an ejector seat.

    Ha got that one thanks.

That is a dealer installed alarm I believe. Usually they disable them after purchase if you don't want to buy it.

The interior lights for my ARE cap aren't getting any power, now you've got me wondering if the dealer disconnected these and installed that little alarm without reconnecting the lights
