Why do I pull the switch down to make the window go up? Is this normal? Seems backwards and always throws me off.

Yeah it’s backwards I think. Pull should be for up so kids don’t close windows on themselves

The rear window? How tall are your kids?!:rofl:

Yes, sounds backwards. I pull up on my switch to raise window, down to lower. (But mine's not a 3rd gen)

Is it mounted in the overhead console like in this pic?
    2022-tundra-trd-sport-buttons-overhead.jpg
It says to push the button down to make the window go down.
Maybe being overhead makes it seem backwards. Maybe if it was on the center console, looking down at it, it would seem more intuitive.

Took some getting used to for me as well. The switch is the same push-open and pull-closed for all the windows, it's just that this one is mounted upside down.

Yes it's just like in your picture. I guess I have to start thinking it's an upside-down window switch to help my brain adjust.

It’s not upside down, it’s just mounted on the ceiling, works like all the other switches, just pretend it’s on the door, push it down to open pull it up to close

I was disoriented at first too but then regeared the melon to think ok, same switch different location

It's mounted upside down on the ceiling is the way I see it. So far, that's working for me now. Don't confuse my little brain more lol. Thx!

makes me wonder why I have to open my door just to close it. I just gave up and decided to conform rather than fight it. :crapstorm:

If someone was REALLY motivated to swap them around, it isn't too difficult to pop that overhead compartment open and repin the connector to swap the up/down functions. Its annoying since you only have about 4 inches of slack to work with. One of the guys on my team did it on his TRD Pro.

Thats what I want to do too, switch the direction. But I dont want to pull anything apart, so I'll conform, hahah.

So, I'm guessing this scene from F&F spoke to you?
