    Hi,

I just got a 2024 Tundra 4x4 SR5 Crewmax 5.5. I would like to hardwire my radar detector into the rearview mirror. I did it on my Tacoma before it got stolen :-(

There is a camera to the left of the rear view mirror, but I see no places that I can wire into. Does anybody know of a solution for this?

    Thanks,
    Tim

Can’t you just tap into the 5 pin harness that the dash cam is connected to?

I don't see a way to access the harness. There is nothing on the back of the mirror.

    Thanks for the replies.

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
Are you under the impression these cables would be just hanging out in the year 2023? Any youtube video you can search will show you things being dismantled.

That's not my impression at all. On my last Tacoma, the back of the mirror gave access to the power. The tundra does not. I have not been able to find a 2024 Tundra video.

You will find a power cable once you take the overhead console down. And with a Dongar adapter you'll have a USB to plug into.
