It has this rearview mirror that I cannot seem to find anywhere. It has wiring that leads to the drivers side behind the headliner. If I could find a cover for the “chip” in the bottom of the unit I would keep it. But I’m not sure if this was a factory mirror.

So it is the same brand as the factory mirror. I’m assuming it has auto dimming. I was able to find a factory (plain) mirror. This one doesn’t seem to far from factory. Donnelly brand.

I think that's the same brand @Tundra2 had in his truck.

The OEM mirror I found for our trucks was an old HL3 Gentex mirror. It used a flat 7-pin connector at the end of the factory wiring, and the one on my OEM harness matched that, with 7 pins in a straight line.

Ahhh this also has a multi pin connector. Maybe I should be looking for one of these. Did this have auto dimming ?

I've never seen the AC or RC trucks with factory auto-dimming, but Toyota sold a kit (I have it) so it could be ported at the dealer. I have one of the kits.

I'd love to know where the wires run back to, and if they're in a factory harness or not, but not gonna ask you to trace.

If I were you, I'd grab a multimeter, figure out which wires are ground, always-on, and accessory power, then just adapt to a new mirror, frankly.

You can still find the old 6-7 pin mirrors that would be plug-and-play, but you'll pay a premium, and the reflective stuff in the mirror will be degraded.

You can also still buy the OEM mirror part. But, I'm not kidding, last time I looked it was hundreds of dollars.

I picked up two factory plain mirrors (without connections) at the junk yard for 7 bucks. It’s already on there. I’ll pull the wires back to the a pillar and tuck them and call it done. I don’t need to know what temp it is outside. I have my phone for that (my display on this mirror is messed up anyways).

moving on. When the stereo goes in. If my guy finds the source I’ll update.
