Rear main seal … what else to do ?

    Taking my 2011 Toyota hundred in on Monday, it is having its rear main seal done, 17 hours labor, $54 part, what else should I have them do while they are doing that??

    How many miles? Not much else going on in that area that I can think of. Upgraded motor mounts maybe but they probably won’t make it to you in time.

    330k km , it’s my work truck , so not pretty , but figured the $2900 was cheaper than a new truck

    Transmission torque converter seal would be a thought. 10 minutes extra time plus the seal and ATF to replace what gets lost.

    Before you take your truck in try replacing the PCV valve a bad one will cause the crank case to have elevated pressure causing extra pressure on seals do an oil change replacing 1 quart of oil with a product called AT 205 reseal the product rejuvenates rubber seals it could save you a lot of money
