For the past few weeks, I have been working on upgrading the factory JBL in my 14' Platinum. I spent one day working on the sound deadening. I left all the door panels off because I still had to install speakers. Only the front driver switch was connected, allowing me to manipulate all the windows and locks. About two weeks later I installed the speakers and put the door panels on. I noticed that the rear door locks and windows did not work.

I can confirm that they locked with the master switch and the key fob prior, but at some point have stopped working. The rear windows also went down via the master.

I read many threads and tried to troubleshoot the problem. The 30 amp fuse is not blown. I confirmed all the switches are plugged in, including the plugs for the door locks. The child locks are not on and the button on the master switch is not locked. Only the front driver and passenger door worked as they should.

Are there any other fuse locations that may be tied to the rear doors? What about under the hood? I read in one of the threads that there's a relay, where is that located? Any thoughts or suggestions? I have not checked the wiring to the rear doors with a multimeter because my old Harbor Freight special finally died. However, I can confirm that when I open and close each rear door the interior light turns on/off as it should, suggesting that the harness is fine. Could the master switch outputs to the rear doors be causing an issue?

    Thanks

So, after noticing the 30 amp was blown, I replaced it. Then tried my windows, but nothing. The back window would not even work, which I guess makes sense since I believe it's tied to that fuse. I purchased another fuse and decided to pick up two new relays to swap out with the PW1 and PW2 back under the hood. Just to see if it was a failed relay causing the problem. After replacing both relays I put in a new 30 amp fuse and was hoping I could track down the issue with my new multimeter. As soon as I placed the key in the ON position, I heard the door lock sound (I believe it was coming from the front passenger door only, I could be wrong since I am deaf (haha). When I looked over at the passenger door I noticed the door went from lock to unlock. Maybe there's a stuck switch? I immediately checked the fuse and it was blown.

I am still experiencing this issue.

Since I thought maybe I messed up some wiring I replaced both the left and right door to kick panel harnesses, put in a new 30 amp fuse and it blew right away when turning the ignition to the ON position.

I saved up some extra cash and purchased a new master window switch for Toyota. The good thing is the 30 amp fuse no longer blows and I have access to the rear window again. Bad news is the windows and locks still do not work.

I am at a loss. What do I throw money at next (being sarcastic)? One thing I did notice when it was dark out and my lights were on, was the passenger door’s auto window switch was lite up, but neither of the driver and passenger auto switches on the master were.

    Any thoughts?
