I noticed an oil spot on the garage floor and discovered this… I haven’t found much regarding this issue with a 2020 with low miles (41,000). I did find that some of the older Tundras had breather issues but I didn’t come across anything with this degree of leaking. I’m going to bring it in to the dealer but I guess I’m just wondering what I’m in store for. Any help/insight would be much appreciated.

Great chance to do the relocation mod for ~$20!

Can of brake clean, new breather, and a quart of gear oil and you’re good as new.

Pretty sure I've never seen this exact problem here on the forum before. You would think if the breather was blocked, it would probably blow out the axle seals instead of the breather which obviously isn't blocked because it blew the oil all over your Diff. Overfilled from the factory?

That's what i was thinking, I'd clean it up and change the fluid and see what happens.

I cleaned it up 3 days ago and it’s still clean. I had an appt with the dealership today anyways and they checked the oil level and they said it’s right where it’s supposed to be. The guy said his best guess is that given all the seals were tight, the breather was clogged and this caused it the oil to seep out(?) He said to keep an eye on it but he wouldn’t expect any issues going forward. I guess this is somewhat plausible given I live in Minnesota and they salt the hell out of roads and parking lots all winter.

thank you all for the responses

Use this as an opportunity to relocate your breather into the left taillight well.
