Hello, thanks for adding me to your forum.
I need to replace my rear bumper reinforcement brace and bumper on my 05 tundra. I called Toyota and they gave me price $1300.00 for a new one. Has anyone else replaced one and is there a good after market brand that works just as well.
    Thanks, Dana

Greetings, I have the same problem on my 2006 Tundra Limited Double cab. It's rusted through, I'm going to have it looked at by Toyota near me, but $1,300 sounds on par (at least in Maryland). If it's part No. 52023-0C041 as part of the "Body/Trailer Hitch Components" Group that's $1,000+ in materials alone unless you can find a reclaim somewhere. If your lucky it may only be the "reinforcement" in the "Body/Bumper & Components" Group Part No. 52043-0C030, which runs ~$300 + Labor. These part numbers are for the '06 Tundra. Best of luck, I'll check back if end up pursuing my fix and update. In my opinion if it's bad enough to compromise the strength, integrity and safety of the vehicle it's worth doing properly before the cancer spreads. Besides, it's cheaper than a new truck just like yours.
