Thanks to another post, I see there is a TSB T-SB-0070-22 that addresses this issue. I have a 2022 Platinum Hybrid (VSD is NC5DB) which is covered by the TSB. Since picking up the new Tundra in October 2022, my wife is continually annoyed by the rough ride over the bumpy country roads around here. It feels great, though, when every once and a while we've driven on the smooth Interstate!

I bought the special Adaptive Variable Air (AVS) suspension thinking it would prevent her discomfort. Even driving in the so-called "Comfort" mode, instead of the "Normal" mode, I don't feel any improvement on bumpy roads. Right now, I've added 300 pounds of sand bags to the rear which seems to have settled it down and she has not complained as much!

My intent is to take this up with the dealer, but I'm hesitant over the subjective nature of the TSB. It requires the technician to confirm a rough-ride feel when driving over uneven road conditions. Since the AVS in a Tundra is so new, how does anyone know what it should feel like over uneven roads. I'm anticipating them telling me it is fine since it is compares much better than the ride in the 2nd generation Tundra. I really wanted a comfortable truck in this newest model.

Any guidance on how to approach this issue with the dealer? Should I expect it would ride like a Lexus with AVS? I only drive Tundra's, so my experience has been limited! Thanks.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I would imagine Comfort mode would provide a noticeable difference, but I have no direct experience.

This is a great video. Very well done. What would be nice for me, not being a mechanic, is to be able to take my Tundra to someone and just have them do what needs to be done. I did take it to my dealer who said they fixed it in accordance with the Service Bulletin, but apparently not adequate. This must be the problem people have when buying an early model when a new generation is introduced.
