I've tried looking this up with negative results. I want to remove the rear 12 volt outlet from the rear console in a 2018 double cab. Before I start trying things I thought someone can chime in with a easy solution.
    Thanks in advance. ;)

What do you want in its place? You wanna move it elsewhere?

I was just wondering if I had to remove a lot of the console or just a small section.

I know on my crewmax all I just to do was pry that back panel off. It was really easy to do. Then just wire up some connectors and I was done. Not sure if the double cab part pries off as simply

I'm with Sean - it looks similar to the Crewmax so you should just pry out and up to remove that back section.

The cup holder should be build into the panel that will pull off. Pry up along the blue line, there are a couple clips up there that will come undone. Then there are a few more near the red Mark's. Then you need to pull up and away (toward the back of the truck) and it should pull off. The only think holding it on at that point is the wire for the outlet. I added one of those and an additional dual usb port on my truck. I cut the second hole with a dremel and razor knife. I have an extra rectangle dual quick charge usb if you wanna add that too, just pay shipping. Took some finnese and careful cutting to get the rectangle hole for it just right just to warn you.
I can go out tomorrow and take more pics and a video of me popping mine off and text or email it to you, if you want. I should have time in the late morning.

    really?

now mine IS a double cab, but also its a '12 - but it looks strikingly similar to the posted photo. i have pryed on that thing like crazy trying to hide an led wire, and i cant even pry it apart enough to slip a 16AWG wire through. not saying your wrong. youre most likely right in fact, im just an idiot. ill have to check this out tomorrow?

Hmmmm I bet the 2nd gens are different. Probably some bolts inside the console. I was shocked mine pried off like it did. I was fully expecting to have to take apart half the console and remove the lid and all that.

I'll let you know about the other USB, but I think the one I'm putting in is enough.

Amazon delivered it about 2 hours ago. All done took me about 30 minutes to do install.
Sean you were correct. I just pryed up the top (blue lines in your pictures) then just pulled straight up.
Instead of cutting wires I made like a jumper with a inline fuse to plug int the factory plug. So when I trade it in for the TRD PRO I can just unplug and remove mine and put back the original.
