    Hi All,
I picked up a used 2016 TRD Off Road last week and love it. It came with 285/75R18 Nitto Ridge Grappler MT tires. They’re pretty worn, and I only have about 2/32 left before I need to replace them. I’m considering going from the 35” tire down to a 33” tire to improve my MPG. Right now I’m getting 10 city and 14 highway in the mountains around Denver. Either a 275/75R18 or a 285/70R18 is my target size.

In my 4Runner, I went from 31” to 33” and took a noticeable mileage hit, hence why I’m considering downsizing.

What are people getting with 33” tires like the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac, Toyo Open Country R/T, or Cooper S/T Maxx?

I had the Coopers on my 4Runner and loved them. They were the perfect balance for the 80% on road driving I do, and much better in the rain and snow than the MT tires I have on there now. I’m tempted to go with what I know, but want to hear from other owners. If my mileage won’t get any better, I’ll stick when the 35”. Let’s face it, they look awesome!

    Any input is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,
    Todd

    Alot of them
The 285/70/18 is a 33.9. I have the RG's and they are 59 pounds per tire. Yours are 69 I think.
