My rear window rattles and creaks when rolled up.

I have gone to the dealership and they told me it was the weather stripping. Had that replaced.

Still noise was made. So they sprayed silicone. That didn't work.

Something is wrong. When backing up or pulling out of a drive way, it sounds like the window is torqueing. Also, if you press on the back wall behind the middle seat of the back seat it makes a creaking soind. Bad.

    Has anyone had this issue?

Might be off the tracks or a fastener may have come loose in there. I think the inner plastic cover may come off so you can look down in there and see what's going on.

If that is the case, and I am not saying you're wrong (that's why I'm here to be honest), why wouldn't that be the first thing they checked?

I am going to need to get a tad more assertive with them when I go in again.

You'd think that's something they would do, but it is a stealership so who knows. But if the weatherstrip didn't fix it, that's the next logical place to look IMHO.

It's likely the alignment of the window.

On one of my first 4Runners, I had the same issue. Took it to the dealer who said "yeah, we'll fix 'er right up, just leave it with us for the day..." Arrived at 4:50pm to find they'd slathered bearing grease into the weatherstripping slot that the window fit into. I said "no way!" and they said just wipe down the window occasionally...

They fixed it. What a mess.
