I'm looking to replace my BDS 7" lift in the front with Readylift 8". I want to keep my Fox Coilovers, and run with the Readylift setup. Is this possible? Anyone running this? Thanks in advance

You don't like your bds lift?

I do but I've had a hell of a time with tie rods rubbing, scraping etc. I had the caster adjusted to avoid tie rod hitting and now it's so far back it scrapes when I'm offroad or hit large potholes etc.

From what I've read it sounds like the readylift 8" will correct all the issues I have and give me closer to factory angles.

Readylifts are not meant for any aftermarket coilovers. The aftermarket coils will throw off alignment and could be a bitch. Now, this isn't always the case, but ive actually spoken to the guy that designed this lift (I have the same lift on my truck). He says the readylift is specifically designed for OEM suspension parts to retain factory geometry.

I believe if you add coils, you have to also swap the tie rods from one side to the other, I don't remember all the details. But it can be done, just has to be aligned perfectly or you could run into some issues.

Im sure there are some guys on this site that have the coils on RL 8" and they have no issues, but just to give you a heads up on what I have heard.

Any resolution to your tie rods rubbing? Had bds lift installed two days ago with coil overs and I've got tie rod rubbing the coil over on both sides...

Aren’t the coachbuilder tie rods meant to fix this exact issue?
