Had to loosen my door panel at the top and front to be able to get to some nuts to change out my side view mirror assembly. I can’t get the panel to sit flush again because there is some sort of a lip on the panel that has to be on top of a rim on the door itself. I suspect that I might have to finish removing the panel, and then re-mount it making sure that I slide it into place correctly. Does anyone know of a trick to be able to get that panel lip and door rim to move back into the right position? I am thinking some kind of a pry tool, but just not sure what to use to make the physics work. Thanks in advance

The window seal/trim piece at the top of the door panel does hook over the top of the door. I would remove the panel completely and reinstall it. When you remove it, some of the white clips will usually pop out of the panel and remain in the door so you will have to remove them and put them back on the panel. Don't forget to remove the 3 screws in the door panel as well.

Agree, I'd go ahead and pull it all the way off and then start at the top by hooking the window channel in place. You shouldn't even have to detach the cables for the lock and handle. It should not be difficult, and you may have something hanging up that you'll see when you pull it loose. And yes- check that all the plastic clips are in place to mate up as they should.

It would also be a good idea to roll the window down so its will be easier to get the the panel back over that lip.
