Just dropped 55k on a 2024 Tundra limited and the fuel sensor is already wrong. Should be 3/4 a tank but it is showing full. Also I’m hearing a rattle/loud fan noise when I’m parked and the engine is running. Just noticed the sound yesterday and only have had the truck for 5 days. Any advice for next steps? Starting to regret my purchase. :/

Give the dealer a chance to remedy any issues...most are helpful if you calmly raise a concern...my 2023 had several campaigns and recalls done while in Demo service and when I had an issue they loaned me a car while they took care of it. Document with pics and video if possible.

Take it to the dealer for a well baby check up and fix. It's new, sometimes there's a little teething. There's a TSB for the fuel gauge so I'm surprised that one wasn't addressed prior to delivery. Congrats on the new truck, enjoy it. Or give it back. Life is too short to let your things bother you that much.

You got a Limited for 55k? 10% below msrp or something? I’ve never seen one below 60.

Yeah 55k OTD would be pretty insane though I suppose its possible with a low equipment Limited.

Just bought my '23 Limited CPO with 10k miles for 56.5k OTD. But it's pretty much fully loaded, including rear air suspension, and in Army Green which I rarely see. Loving it so far but it also has some of the common quirks that I need to get fixed.

No cooling off period at all in NJ and most states...lemon law requires allowing at least 3 legit dealer attempts to repair...some dealers may offer their own satisfaction guarantee

Actually considered used since it had 300 miles on it. Someone bought it and returned it; hence the discounted price...No cooling off period in CA, I guess I'll take it into the dealership to check out. Didn't know about the 3 different dealership attempts for it to qualify as a lemon. Thanks for the replies.

Not sure about 3 attempts, you might want to do a little lemon law research but it isn't "I don't like it had a problem take it back" either. 300 miles doesn't make it used, having been sold to an end user and traded or sold to a dealer makes it used. My 2023 had 6500 miles on it as a demonstrator or "Demo". I am the first owner and warranty started on date I took delivery time wise but warranty is still 36000 odometer miles or 36 months bumper to bumper, or 60 month 60,000 miles powertrain. There is a 12 month 12000 mile "adjustment period for cosmetics, alignments, trim coming loose etc...300 miles honestly could be from test drives or a dealer exchange. I'm unfamiliar with CA used car warranty laws or if lemon law can even apply but good luck!

We went from inaccurate gas gauge and a rattle or fan noise when parked to lemon law fast. I'm cornfused.

Lemon Law is different in each state. I just went through that with a 2021 Chev. Silverado 5.3 and it took 2.5 years to resolve the claim and get my money back that I paid for the truck. I have a tundra now and hope to never go through the lemon law again.

Yep. I was fishing if he/she got 10% below msrp. I could get that on an sr5 but not a limited. I was following the ‘what did you pay’ thread that petered out, 10% below was as good as I saw.

circle the wagons….start a class action, search for a TSB, open a Lemon Law case…..or call the dealer and say I need these tweaks done, how about Wednesday.

Good to know. I found one for 63k msrp. I mentioned 10% below on phone and they said come see us. Got there and it was a demo, 4k on it. They offered that 10%. I came back with, ahhh 10% of the warranty is gone and it’s basically used. Offered them 1) another 10% I’ll buy or 2) 5% and the platinum 10 year warranty. They wouldn’t budge. Coulple scratches on dash and didn’t seem like a deal so I walked away.
That was basically my decision to keep The Black Ho for another year. I even washed her.

Post your deal! Haven’t seen anyone get 10% on a new tundra and I’ve been watching these forums and negotiating with dealerships for almost a year.

I’ve seen 10% off the final msrp which includes the BS add ons (toyoguard, bedliner, steps, accessories). In these cases the “discount” puts the buyer back to the straight msrp and maybe gets them free add ons they don’t want.

but I’ve never seen 10% off a tundra with only factory options (TRD OF, etc).

closest has been the couple guys that paid $59k out the door for 2024 limited with off-road packages that stickered for $62k.

In Florida the same trucks sticker for $67k due the BS add ons that add no value.

Click the link in post #20. Its a 2024 Limited Tundra in California for $55,912. Might just be a California thing but dealers here are dropping their prices.

not 10% off, but I just purchased my tundra limited with the iforce max and got about 4500 off. No stupid dealer add ons or anything like that. Truck was listed at 67,000 and I think between the color (smoked mesquite) and it being a long bed, no one wanted it cause it was there for about 2 months before I bought it. Minus the doc fee of 399 and I was roughly 6.5% off msrp. But I looked high and low and that was the best deal I could find for a long bed limited. So anyone getting 10% off I’d like to see the deal as well cause that a big discount for a tundra.

Yes, I am talking the sticker msrp. No add on crap.
On New Year’s Eve I was offered 10% off a couple different sr5s but both lacked a couple of my requirements.
Not many limited here but seem like a ton of 1794s.
    @SM Tundra what’s your location?

I've been offered $10k off any Capstone and $7k off any Platinum from a dealer. Never did the math for % off MSRP as I want a specific Limited. Zero dealer add ons here in OR for pretty much all dealers minus one or two in PDX area. There is a youtube guy going around to OR dealers showing on the lot prices (for some reason the tacoma forum is posting the videos). He found a limited for $7k off msrp. The best I have been offered for a Limited is $6k off msrp. No extra dealer crap and such. Pretty easy to get good discounts in my state. This is all for non hybrids. I never look at the Hybrids listed on websites.

Edit: All were brand new 2024's.

fair enough, I mean it we are using that logic than I would be close to 7% savings give or take. I’m not saying dealers aren’t out there and it’s not possible but just saying I searched and couldn’t find anything that low, but was sticking to Tennessee for the tax advantages with trade in.

There's a group on FB called NO MARKUP TOYOTA where lots of discounted deals are posted daily. There is a broker on there in Pennsylvania selling Toyota's heavily discounted.

Not sure but felt like I got a decent deal on a demo 2023 1794 5.5 bed 6000 miles they did change the oil...MSRP with TRD Off Road and TRD Alloy skid plate, spray in Bedliner, door edge guards and running boards $68500.
I got it for $60k after the $750 rebate so that's 10% in my book.
Had 2 price increases on 2023's after my Feb. 2023 build date and a bump to MSRP and accessory prices on 2024. Same 2024 truck is now $71500

Saw your post. Not a bad deal at all but totally bare bones. Most including myself are wanting TRD OR.

I'm also just looking for lunar rock so it has been hard to find a deal on that combo. I’ve even reached out to the dealerships that others have posted about here but they don’t want to give that deal to out of towners.

Quite a few Limited Off Roads up here in OR. I think i even saw a few lunar rock TRD's when I was searching today. Not sure if they care you are out of state or not. They never have asked me my location when I have texted random dealers across the state. I am one of the few I guess who do not want the TRD package and it seems pretty common here. I usually scroll on past any with black rims.

Kendall of Bend shows a ton, but they usually dont have the best advertised deals compared to the rest of the state. Edit: The only advertise $3-4k off their Limiteds.
