Rarest 3rd GEN Tundra Models

I'm curious if anyone else has seen this exact model truck. 2024 Platinum Crewmax 6.5ft bed with the TRD Off Road package and factory TRD lift. Also, color is magnetic gray metallic.

I asked my local dealership and they said it's impossible to know exactly. I also emailed Toyota but they said the information is not available to the public...actually shocked they responded.

Have you seen one?

 

Never seen one , I’d say that’s pretty damn rare , but exactly how many will be unknown

 

Yea you might be better off buying the platinum crewmax off road with the 6.5 bed and then adding the lift. That would definitely be a rare truck to have all those options but you never know. Might have to expand your search all over the country to find that exact truck.

 

I would much rather have the lift factory installed if I was going that route

 

According to auto trader (nationwide search) , the rarest 3rd gen trim is the SR, score one for us poors

 

That’s interesting, the one I couldn’t find was a 2023 SR5 CM 5.5’ TRD OR. Zero in the PNW, seemed very rare elsewhere.

 

Just my observation, but Magnetic Gray Metallic seems to be one of the more common colors, at least in my area...

 

Lots here are full of Platinums but NONE with TRD off road packages..

 

Not impossible. When I ordered mine I could have ordered ANYTHING I wanted ( from the factory) and it would be built.

 

Come on down to Phoenix, there's plenty of SR5 TRD OR with 5.5' bed and crew max. Including my son's truck.

no you didn't, toyota doesnt do that. your dealer got an allocation that matched

 

Not Bs, because my truck was fully custom from Toyota direct. I added what I did and it was built, and sent to a dealer. I test drove the truck the. Bought it. That simple.

 

Negative. The Gm is a family friend of 25 years. This was my third Toyota from his dealership. When I entertained the idea he asked , we sat down looked at all options a I selected what I wanted. I could have added anything from the factory. Started build Dec ish 2022, was ready for pickup end of April 2023.

 

no it wasnt, again toyota doesnt do that, it may seem like it when they get your exact allocation but toyota doesnt do build requests.

you tell your dealer what you want and they look for that allocation or trade with another dealer that gets that allocation, sometimes they can modify the build slightly once its allocated.

I did the same thing, told them I wanted a platinum blueprint, advanced package tundra, 4x4 no exceptions. they got allocated that build and it was mine, but it was not built for me per order

toyota does not build trucks for GMs nor anyone else. They used the allocation system to get what you wanted, simple.

it doesnt matter anyway, you got what you wanted which is good, I was just trying to give the facts so you don't keep saying things that arent true.

don’t need to , believe what you want but in my case when we ordered my truck ad added what features I was after, Toyota built it, and sent it to the dealer. It’s a great truck and I’m loving it. I didn’t pay any markups, no “market “ premiums and got a sweet extendo warranty for cheap. I’m happy

I believe one of tundra dude’s recent video he said the dealership said they had one of those truck with all those options but in wind chill but when he got there it was sold

there is no point in arguing, let him enjoy his "custom built", I mean allocated truck.

 

So I already have the truck. Just wondering how many others are out there. Seems like it's pretty rare, just wish Toyota could tell me exactly how many others got made. I would love to have a badge made up that says 1/110 or something like that.
