So my brother from another mother, twice removed, dropped off his Raptor today so I could fit one of my Softoppers on it and go have some fun. He took the Lexus.

He just had the shocks rebuilt. Not bad actually. I'm pretty sure a set of King 2.5's are next go around though.

He just put some Methods and 35's on, has a tune. Pretty fun truck.

What do you think about the Softopper? I like it.

    IMG_2220.jpg

So as any good friend would do, lunchtime beers and test the shit out of it.

Pretty nice trucks. I would get in trouble with this thing.
Not practical for me though. Funny thing though, he has nothing but Toyota rock crawlers.

Nobody smart keeps anything in the bed and just use the zippers. Softoppers are not for security, They are for dogs or keeping something dry. I use them for short trips overnights and dogs.

My step dad owned a 12 and 14 raptor. Let me drive them a few times. It was so much fun. Just worried I would get in trouble. Too hard to not floor it everywhere. He offered to sell me his 12 before he got the 14. I had to choose between that and the tundra I drive now. Aka Sean old truck that he traded in and I happened to be there the next day. I almost couldn't turn down the good offer on the raptor but I'm a Toyota man. sometimes I look back. He put 75,000 miles in 2 years. The used 12 tundra had 30,000

Oh I know what you meant. I wouldn't leave anything in the bed either and constantly wonder about theft. Softoppers are for purpose use only, and should never be left on overnight. I can take one off in under 2 minutes. Definitely not everyone's shot of whiskey.

I have had 6 of them and can't wait to get my 7th.

When I started buying them they were 500.00. However, yes, now you are into one starting at 650.00 and goes up with options from there.

That's a nice white Truck there. Raptor looks sporty and mean in any color. I was looking for a Raptor before I got my Tundra. I like my cars sporty and athletic just like my girls. Time to supercharge my Tundra as I m inching closer to be done with the mods.

I like the soft topper. I've got one. Obviously it's not for security unless you've got the right dog back there. But they're fantastic for the dogs on longer trips.

Even if I had a fleet of Raptors, this would not be attempted.

I read somewhere these guys had some pretty bad injuries.

Now if I had a trophy truck.......

Ditto. Used to watch the guys test running in the desert east of SD. So. Much. Fun. Once the Tundra is done, I'd love to go back down to Baja, chase the 500/1000 and photograph.
