Anyone have a stock radio for a 2014 crew max platinum, don’t know if that matters. I bought this truck with an after market Kenwood head unit. And now it’s not working and my mic wasn’t working. It turns on but no sound. Thinking about putting the stock back in but I have to find one. Thanks for y’all help in advance.

    Did the Kenwood work before?

Do you have a way to test to see what part of it is not now?

If not can you take the truck somewhere to have it diagnosed?

I ask because if you have an amp external to the radio it might be the amp that has a problem and not the radio itself?
If you can determine how exactly all of it is connected you can start to troubleshoot things but if you do not understand how it is connected and just start replacing things you might still not get it going while trying to blind if you know what I mean?

Never messed with Kenwood, I appreciate your replies, gonna try to just take it back to the dealership since I just bought the truck last week. If not I’ll take it to a sound system place to have them figure it out. Thanks again.

Are you saying you bought the truck without even turning the radio on and trying it?

I actually do have a stock radio from mine but the different radio options and combinations of what truck each radio comes in make it tough to determine which might work in another seemingly similar truck.

Good luck with a dealer too!

Any Best Buy or Car Stereo shop should be able to sort it out quickly too.

Does it have an aftermarket amp in it?

You are much better off running that Kenwood than the stock HU.

I haven’t seen an amp. Checked under the back seats. Just the head unit.
