Still addressing issues on new 07 DC. Non jbl Radio display is very cloudy and hard to read. Tried polishing the outside, but seems the issue is on the backside. Guessing one of the PO’s spilled something near the CD opening and ran down the inside of display. Also explains why a couple of buttons don’t work.

is it possible to disassemble this radio to get to the backside of the front plate? Sometimes they use screws and sometimes they use adhesive.

has anyone done something like this?

My radio ate my CDs and refuses to spit them out. When I spoke to service, they said the only way to recover them is to destroy the unit. Not sure how your radio got any type of fluid inside, unless they purchased that radio off a salvage lot with flood damage. Maybe try Tanin Electronix and see if they have options available for that head unit.

Thanks. I just found a guy parting out a tundra and got a good deal on the radio and climate control panel. Mine has a lot of scratches. For $40, it is not worth trying to fix it.
