As part of my on going quest to eliminate chrome I am going to plasti dip my bumper caps this weekend and have a few questions for those that have done this.

    1. What did you do to prep/clean the caps before spraying?
    2. How many coats of Plasti dip did you apply and how many cans did it take?
    3. How long did you wait in between coats?

I haven’t done it yet, but I was planning a can per corner plus an extra one just in case.

Prep is just clean the car, then rub it down with some alcohol. Let ALL the alcohol evaporate before starting.
