Hello, I don't know much about lifting trucks. I am planning on replacing my upper and lower controls arms soon because my ball joints are seeping. I was originally going to go OEM, but I found these JBA UCA that have replaceable ball joints. https://jbaoffroad.com/jba-hd-hc-upper-a-arms-for-2007-toyota-tundra-2wd-4wd
I am aware that the JBA UCA are designed with lifts in mind, but i was already planning on getting some Bilstein 5100.

    My mains questions are-
Will the 5100s be sufficient in allowing me to install these UCA without issue?

Do the 5100s require any additional parts to be installed to facilitate their install?
(pucks, leaf spring blocks, etc?) Or are they just drop in, and adjust to my desired height

For those of you who have either the 5100s or the JBA UCA, were they worth the money over OEM?

Is this even the right setup for me? I would like to level out my truck, but honestly i could go without it. I'm just having trouble finding quality parts that are decently priced and make sense.
I have to replace my UCA, LCA, and shocks anyways, so if you know any stock replacement alternative setups it would be greatly appreciated as well.

    Any recommendations for LCA?

You can change out the ball joints on your factory upper control arms and lower control arms; I just changed the ball join on one of my uppers last week.

5100s are probably one of the best bang for your buck shocks, you won't need after market "lifted" control arms with 5100s (you only need "lifted" control arms at the 2.5" and higher lift mark)

But to answer your exact questions:
    1. Yes the 5100s are sufficient to install the JBA UCA's, but the aftermarket UCA's are not necessary
    2. The 5100s have a c clip on the body of the shock, depending on where you place this c clip is how much lift you will get. You will resuse your factory coil springs with the 5100s. It would be beneficial to get new shock caps when you do this to prevent squeaks (see link below)
    3. Yes, I've used the 5100s and the bigger 6112s, and the 5100s is great bang for buck... again JBA UCA's are not necessary with just a level
    4. RockAuto has the 5100s for the cheapest I've seen (just bought a pair for my brother last week), and I would recommend OEM for LCA, or maybe Moog if they sell them (again, the ball joints are replaceable so unless your UCA and LCA are just rusted to all get out I would say just replace the ball joints)

Thats just the rubber piece that goes on the shock cap, if the actual metal top hat is fine then just get the rubber to replace

Where are you located? I'm currently selling my OEM take offs from my '18 sport.

How hard is the ball joint replacement for UCA and LCA? I was told that the control arms and ball joints are almost inseparable, and that its easier (and more expensive) to replace the whole UCA and LCA assemblies. But then again, my stock UCA and LCA are perfect, rust free, its only the ball joints that need replacing.
As for the shocks, can I use the 5100s with stock UCA and springs? If not, what are some stock replacement Bilstein's that i can look in to?
    Thanks in advance.

I swapped out my upper ball joint in literally 5 minutes (I already had the UCA out of the truck); you can rent the tool from an auto parts store like O’Reillys or Autozone; however I’ve never changed a LCA ball joint so I can’t speak on the difficulty

you can swap the UCA ball joint while the UCA is still installed on the truck

yes, with the 5100s you reuse your stock springs and your stock UCA are fine
