I have the Toytec Aluma Series Boss Im going to install when my c4 bumpers arrive. Ill be adding the C4 Overlander with a Evo 12s winch which from what I have looked up is going to add about 240-250lbs to the front of my truck and the matching C4 rear bumper. They Toytec is good for 2.5-3 inches. I would like to get 3 inches of lift out of it but even with the 700lb springs I would think I would get some sag from the bumper setup. I was kicking around the Idea of adding a .5 coachbuilder shim? Thoughts on the use of shims? I have never used shims or spacers before and Im not sure what Id like to do. The rest of the suspension setup is JBA UCA, Coachbuilder +3 shackles, and a diff drop kit.

Shim and adjustable coilovers maxed out? Not recommended.

It technically can be done (and some have done it) but you are making the full extension of the shock longer. Bad things happen if the shock bottoms out before hitting the bump stop. Plus the steering angles get to a point where components will start failing.

With 700 lb coils and the Toytecs properly adjusted you should be fine. Just get an alignment done after raising the coilover.

No, I was considering shim so I didnt have to max out coilovers. Id like to get 3 inches without maxing them out. Didnt know what to expect sag wise as thats a pretty hefty bumper set up.

Understood. The 1/4” shim is fine but not positive about the 1/2” with the Toytec. Give @Coachbuilder1 a call - he will be able to tell you quickly.

Shims will void the warranty on the Toytecs. I have the Alumas as well, and my lift was a little over 3" when installed.

Thats odd, the kits for the Sequoia say they come with shims for one side to negate lean. Is that what they came set as or did you adjust them?

I would have to look at their site to see if they changed anything. The warranty statement is on the instruction sheet. They were already set.

I doubt a warranty would even apply to my situation. I got them from a guy who put them on and turned around and sold his truck. This is all temporary until I can get some more money to regear.
