Question: Original Engine in My 2006 4.7L Tundra?

    The engine is stamped with the VIN (last 6 or 7 digits of VIN) of the vehicle it came from...some can see it under your intake throttle body, if you cant see it you will have to take the intake manifold off.

    On this pix it is to the right of the socket/rachet


    In this picture, my throttle body is laying on top of where the VIN is


    Sorry dont have a pix of the VIN itself

    Sorry, maybe the engine number does not match the VIN, I do not know.

    Maybe a dealer or corporate has a database to match the engine number to the VIN it was installed on?

    5448093 is the original engine number. i would look closer to make sure you indeed read the original number correctly. but 5448093 according to toyota was the engine installed in the truck the day it rolled off the factory line in 08/12/2006
