Recently purchased an 07 Tundra Limited with the TRD Offroad package that is in need of new shocks. When shopping around online, I see descriptions indicate if the shocks are for TRD or w/o TRD package.

My question is, are the shocks not interchangeable? Like if I were to buy strut and coil combo that says it's designed for the non TRD truck, will there be a fitment issue or will it just change the feeling of the suspension?

Bilstein 5100's on the forbidden notch Husky HD rear leafs 16x8 Eagle Alloy 187's with 285/75/16 MagnaFlow 3" flow through Pioneer touchscreen with backup camera Full interior and dash LED conversion Trailer brake controller with 7 pin Bedliner coat bumpers & trim ARE Mpulse topper - Rhino Vortex rack
Totally interchangeable. Except!!! The springs used on TRD shocks are a different spring rate and type. Will still physically fit on any shock, but won’t be well matched for non-TRD style shocks (like the black hitachis). Bilstein 4600s are the go to for these setups. 5100s if you want to add some front height and get rid of the rake (level the truck).

Any thoughts on the Rancho 5000 series? Only ask because they are on close out online and going for $50/shock.
