    2010 Toyota Tundra Crew Cab
Hi, I just joined the forum; it looks like a great place for all Toyota people. I have a 2010 Tundra Crew Cab that I bought new. I love it. This is probably a stupid question but I need some help. I had to change out the wire connecting the hood latch to the release handle. I have the new snaps (Part # 69659-0C010). Apparently I'm doing something incorrectly. I can get the 1st snap on, no problem, but the 2nd one doesn't match up. I've tried to switch things around still no good. If anyone has, or could take, a quick picture of your 2010 (or near that) so I know I have it on correctly I'd appreciate it very much.

See if this helps you, downloaded for myself when doin my own grill swap awhile back. It appears you may have it the incorrect way at the moment, don't pay attention to the circled portion that was from the original poster.

LILTRO, I see you're a new member like I am. Lots of people read the post but I'm blessed that your the only one that responded. I had some major work done on my Tundra (it runs great now) and when I got it back the rod was removed and put in the glove box. That's no fault of my incredible mechanic (3 hour round trip from me), when he tried to remove the rod both snaps crumbled so he sent me the parts # to replace them. Toyota said they always keep them in stock because it's common on older models. Hence, I had no frame of reference to guide me, and (I admit) I thought that the handle went the other direction. I got the hook to move away with the hood open, but I couldn't get the 2nd snap to install correctly. So I thought the rod was in correctly. I did, it fact, have the rod in the wrong way as you said. Bottom line is, your photograph did the trick and all went well and it works perfectly. I can't thank you enough for your kindness my friend. I'm certainly (not) a great mechanic, this was quite frustrating for a minor repair work kind of old guy (78 years old). Thank you very much again...
