I know this has been discussed, but I'm having trouble finding the correct info...I have a 2018 Limited with TSS. I've ordered a 2019 Pro grill to install.
I don't quite understand if I'll need to buy a new sensor for the TSS or just a cover or nothing at all, or what?

Thanks in advance for the help

I don't have a 2019 Pro grill, but my 2018 Limited with TSS has a 2017 Pro grill. I mounted the sensor near the bottom 2/3 of the grill behind an AJT bracket. Did not recalibrate or anything like that. I've had no issues. So, if there's a mounting plate on the newer 2019 Pro grill that has the same hole layout as your sensor, you should be OK. I don't know if the bracket holes for 18 and 19 are same, I'm assuming that is what you are asking. Not much help, sorry, but even if you redneck mount it by making your own bracket you should be OK.

Thanks for the reply. I think the 19 and 17 pro grills are different enough that what works for one doesn't work for the other.

    In progress…
You’ll need to buy a garnish to cover the sensor.

I realize they are different. The point I was trying to make was there are mounting holes on the 19 grill that are not on the 17, so, if the 18 sensor holes line up then you shouldn't have an issue. If they don't line up, you could probably make it work by doing some redneckery to it (southern Marylander, what do you expect.LOL). Good luck and let us know if you get it sorted out, I think there are a lot of Tundra owners who have done it.

I sucked it up and got the oem one. I didn’t want any issues with the sensor that the dealer would say was my fault.

Thanks,I'll do the same and get the oem. I ordered the grill because I thought there was a cheaper option, but oh well.

Agreed that the OEM garnish is way overprice, but it's a safety system and a potential liability any time you screw with something in that realm. Having said that, I've had no issues with either of the aftermarket, cheaper alternatives that I've tried over the last year or so. But I'm also not going to recommend anything specific, due to the aforementioned liability ;)
