Quality Hold?

I really enjoy reading the posts on this website and have learned a lot! I made a deposit on a 2023 Tundra in early November and have been waiting for the truck to arrive. It was supposed to arrive this week, but this morning the dealer called me and said that Toyota has imposed a "quality hold" on all new Tundras and now the ETA of my truck is another month out (2/10/23). I live in NC. Has anyone else had this issue or know what it is about? The dealer could not provide me with any further details.

I have the exact same problem, put a deposit down in early Nov for delivery the 1st week of January and have been informed of the "quality hold." I have called the dealer 3x and they are unable to provide any additional information aside from they don't know when it will arrive. Maybe in Feb?

Thanks. I finally got my truck yesterday
in Winston-Salem. The dealer said it had something to do with the clips on the bumpers. Who knows? I am very happy with my truck, but still frustrated with the long wait and lack of information during that period. I hope yours (and everyone else's) arrives soon. We are living in very frustrating times.

 

Thank you! Good news for me as well. Dealer in Hickory called this morning and told me my truck has shipped. They expect it to land tomorrow or Saturday. I sold my previous car back in the beginning of November to grab the used car price bubble, so no one is happier than my wife, since she doesn't have to drive me around anymore
