Quick question for those that have successfully set up more than one profile.

I have myself as the primary driver. Set up was fairly straight forward with downloading the app, creating an account and scanning the QR code on the info screen as it instructs. Easy.

I can't seem to figure out how to get that QR code to pop up again for a second profile. I installed the app on my wifes phone, created the account, set the PIN and now I get stuck in an endless loop where the info screen is having me text instructions how to sync to the phone, and the phone is saying scan the QR code. I was able to manually sign into the account from the infotainment screen (using manual sign in), but it's not synced with the account, if that makes sense. The account doesn't have a car associated with it, because I can't get the car to show the QR code to scan it. Where is the QR code?

I'm having the exact same problem. Have you found any solution to this?
    Thanks.

I have not. I linked her key to her profile, but connecting the Toyota app has been unsuccessful. For all purposes, things work as they should (apple car play etc). She just can't see the truck on her Toyota app because the two have not been linked.

Okay - was on the Toyota 800 number 3 times this afternoon and the bottom line is this: Remote functionality from the mobile app is only supported for the primary driver. Kinda disappointed with Toyota for that...

How do you add a second profile? I have mine as a primary, but have been unable to add a new user.

My solution was to set up her phone linked to the secondary key, and I just logged into the Toyota app with my credentials on her phone. Sort of jank, but at least it recognizes and auto connects her phone when she takes the truck, and doesn't override my phone if we ride together. Odd part is that the secondary profile doesn't have a name, and I can't give it one, but thats not a deal breaker.

    edit-
This may have more to do with her notification settings than with the app, but she doesn't get push notifications from the Toyota app about unlocked doors, etc, like my phone does. YMMV

Setting up multiple profiles on an app can sometimes be tricky. Have you tried checking the settings or account options within the app to see if there is an option to generate a new QR code for a secondary profile? Alternatively, you could try deleting the app and reinstalling it to see if that prompts the QR code to appear again. Sometimes, it's helpful to reach out to the app's customer support team for guidance on these types of issues. You can also try to work with some 3rd party services Smart Engines that might be better than the one you use now. Good luck, and I hope you're able to get the second profile set up soon!
