Yeah, I saw that. It appeared the truck was parked and I couldn’t tell if there was a protective cover on the phone or not. My phone has the OtterBox defender case on it. Will it work with that defender case on the phone? I’m already signed up. Thanks!

 

Yes the truck was parked. there is no increased retention system for the charger. It is, for all intents and purposes, the OEM but with an upgraded charger. So if you are planning on dune-jumping your truck, we cannot guarantee it will stay put.

Also, the problem with wireless chargers is that the greater the distance between the charger and the phone, the less the charger can effectively charge. This is why we are having a difficult time creating the dual charging option and why finding a solution that will push a charge through the OEM plastic has been difficult.

Thankfully, we found a solution and have tested several iPhone and android versions both with and without various cases. However because of the sheer number of case manufacturers out there and/or age/condition of individual phones, it’s not feasible for us to predict which phone/case combo will or won’t work.

If you have an extra thick mil-spec case or a metal case, you probably will have mixed results. But, suffice it to say that if the case will work with other wireless chargers, it should work with ours no problem. You just may not be getting max results because of your case.

 

Toyota should hire you! Or buy your design!

No, it's qi, that's why it starts with a Q, duh. That's why we say gif.

 

AAahh, so the QI sound is qwee...

 

They had the Q make a 'ch' sound because listening to adult rednecks say qwee was too funny. True story.

Please keep in mind that these are 3D printed and EEF is a small business. All efforts will be made to expedite orders but never at the expense of reliability.
