Have a 2018 Tundra SR double cab. The Corolla I had before had the push button start which was really nice. Anyone know of a kit available to convert a key start to a push button? TIA

Was just going to start the same thread. Drove the wife’s ‘19 Avalon a few times this week and enjoyed that feature.

I used to want a push button but after several events over the past year at my job I no longer want one. The reason is a lot of push buttons won't start the vehicle after collisions with front end damage, thus exposing my coworkers and me to traffic flying by us with no regard for us. The damage can be very minor and still disable the vehicle from starting. Very rarely have I had that problem with keyed ignitions. I know for personal use it might be convenient to most but God forbid you're involved in an accident blocking the road and need to move. It makes it less likely on my experience.

I bought a 19 because I hate push button starts. Every push button start I drove I always forget the fob in the car. Also the push button start Tundras can't stay running with a remote start, they shut off when you open the door even with aftermarket remote starters. I like turning the key too personally.
