Looking at a 2019 with 17,000 mi, saw this on the service history? Seems odd to have had that work done with such low mileage. Would that cause you to pass on it? I guess on the plus side it was done at the dealer and is all new, but still.

Not necessarily imo. New axle means no more headaches experienced from the PO. Could've been a bum axle from the factory - they sold over 100k Tundras in 2019 just in the States so a lemon axle here and there wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility.

I would drive it make sure there's no other issues or noises. That's low miles for a 2019. Hopefully someone wasn't chasing gremlins and decided to just trade in. If everything checks out, I don't think it's a cause to pass on it.

wouldn't worry me at all. Warranty issue, and they took care of it. These axles are ancient tech, pretty much bulletproof.

I agree. It’s a good sign the driver noticed and took it in ahead of actual failure.

I wouldn't worry about it either. That means it's all new stuff in the rear end. It's not like it's a new engine or transmission at 8k. I'd probably pass if it was that.
