I'm planning to install flares which will of course result in loss of the rear mud flaps and have heard it'll result in blasting the chrome finish off the TRD exhaust tips. Wondering if anyone using some sort of heat resistant transparent tape/film to help protect their exhaust tips from any road rash?

I have been using fender flares for over a year and no damage to exhaust tip yet
