So I just bought this truck 3 weeks ago, and traveling down the road Saturday my truck quits rolling. The drive shaft was spinning, but only up to the carrier bearing. Someone replaced the bearing on the double carden shaft, and evidently didn't torque the bolt right or didn't smash the nut into the threads. The bolt backed out and trashed the flange, ate up the threads on the intermediate shaft and the splines. Ordered a new flange at 100 bucks, but went to the junkyard and got a shaft off of an 03. Just a reminder if you change the carrier, make sure you tighten everything like it should. Just wanted to share my experience...
