In search of tonneau and bed liner ...
I'm going to install my Bak Revolver X4 this weekend onto my 2014 Tundra 1794. I recall reading somewhere that I need to apply something to the Line-x spray in bed liner before I put down the bulkhead seal ... I can't seem to find that thread or website.

How should I prep that to ensure the best adhesion of the seal?

    Thanks,

Dude, I just got mine Line-X'ed today! I pulled off my BAK last night. They were able to pull off the rubber bulkhead seal in one piece. They then reapplied it using a Poly adhesive. That bulkhead seal is not coming off the Line X.

    Borgs, thanks for the info.

    Did you seal the tailgate?

It was black in color, thick like tar, and came in a tube. They used a caulk gun. I never had my tailgate sealed since day one and never have had a big deal. I always had water coming in along the side seals. After some readjusting I had it figured out. Now with taking it off and reinstalling, I am sure I will need to adjust it a few times before I get a good seal again. I think I am pulling the trigger on a Diamondback soon, though, so maybe I won't even put my BAK back on.

Check your local auto parts stores for adhesive promoter. The stuff I use is ProBond but 3M also has it. The 3M promoter also comes in a single use packet.20180420_173744.jpg

Exactly, this is the right way to do it. Any auto paint supply place will have it too. You can also buy activator in a presoaked wipe.
