I had the PCS go full ABS for the first time the other day. I was going 10-15 mph and the car in front of me was turning right into a gas station. I was on the brakes, timing it where they would be out of my way by about half a car length. Then the PCS fully engaged. Scared the hell out of me and the person behind me too. After the full stop, it felt like it took a full second before it gave me control again.
I am glad the PCS is there, but I'm very sure that level of braking for this situation was unnecessary and potentially dangerous. I'm turning the sensitivity down to low from mid.
Do y'all have any experiences with the PCS engaging?

I’ve had the TSS system in my last three tundras since 2018 and have yet to experience the truck hitting the brakes for me. It has alerted me a couple times, but never actually applied the brakes as of yet. :notsure:

Only while using cruise control. Usually rolling up behind someone at 75mph or passing a Semi with a wall or guardrail on the left in a curve.

Once on my way home from buying it, on a two lane road with a center turning lane. There was a motorcycle in front of me. I always give them plenty of room. Motorcycle put on turn signal and entered the center turn lane completely and then started braking. I saw no need to slow down as he was clear of my lane. Truck thought differently and slammed on the brakes as I got close to passing by him. I didn't realize the truck even had that feature, so I was surprised and it scared the wife a bit. Thankfully no one was behind me. I was hoping this wouldn't be a normal thing. Thankfully that's the only time it has ever happened when it wasn't needed.
It kept me from rear-ending a 90s Silverado with faded and dim brake lights. The sun was behind me and I had just completely missed the fact the truck had braked to turn right. I should have been paying better attention and had more space between us. Tundra saved both of us a lot of headache. So after that I felt like that safety feature was worth having around. That would have been my first at fault accident.

    Thanks for sharing.
I have a dashcam and tried to watch the recording. But somehow the one file I want to watch is corrupt or something.
