Dealership where I had my free oil changes done called about a power steering recall. I had heard about the recall on certain models but I did not think it covered my VIN. If it did I would think that I would have received something from Toyota. I think the dealership is just looking to make some money.

They need to inspect the rack to see what numbers on on it. Toyota will not let them proceed unless the numbers match. I don't believe that 2017 was included in the recall.....??????
Mine fell under the recall and received a new rack.

according to what I found on Google the recall spanned a wide range of years for Tundras and included 2017s. I entered my VIN a in website and it stated no open recalls. I don't want to waste my time at a dealership that is just hunting for business.

Entered my VIN again. This time in the Toyota recall website. No open recalls on my VIN. I am not sure when this problem rears its ugly head but would think if it has not by 78k I am good.
