Power steering rack passenger boot

Hey everyone I am curious about the power steering rack with a wet boot. I was going to change the fluid but wondering if I should have it checked out at dealerships and maybe have it replaced under warranty I believe there was a recall but not sure if my year falls under replacement let me know your thoughts.

I literally (figuratively) thought you hacked my iCloud and stole my picture from yesterday.


Guess I’ll be calling the dealership tomorrow and hoping I’m covered under a recall or warranty.

 

It’s weird that it’s only on the passenger side I don’t know…

It looks exactly the same as mine where it’s saturated something’s gotta be be going on with the rack seal on that particular side

 

My rack and pinion is being replaced for the same leak, my truck is not part of the recall.

 

I’m thinking they may not replace it as a recall but I hope they will replace the rack under my extended warranty
