I've got what I think is a power steering fluid leak based on the smell of the fluid. Initially I thought the rack and pinion were leaking as the fluids were visible on the boot on the passenger side. Now that I've traced the leak upward, I see fluids coming out of the two metal pipes visible through the front passenger side wheel well. So it seems like all I need to do is to replace one or both of those metal pipes. They are pretty rusted so I'm not surprised that they're leaking or one of them is leaking.

Before I do anything I wanted to confirm with you folks that these two metal pipes are for power steering fluids. I also want to get some advice for where to source these parts.

Edit: btw this is an 08, 5.7, 4 wheel drive, if that helps

Power steering lines don't go that far back bud. It's not front wheel drive. They do go from the front passenger to the driver side, odds are it may be a reservoir leak, power steering hydraulic line leak, or a transmission cooler line leak since they both use transmission fluid. A fluid line does trace that metal pipe rearward and drops by the starter bolts to the puck, if I remember correctly.

Cool. Whatever it is I will have to get them replaced. Seems to be easy to replace as both ends of the metal pipe are clamped to rubber hoses so I should be able to unclamp them and put the new ones in.

Was also planning to do a drain and fill for the transmission fluid so this timing lines up nicely with that assuming that the leaking lines are for that.

In case it helps, here's another picture taken from under the hood. Can someone help me identify the part number?

Alright, I think those pipes are for the coolant.
