Hey neglectful Toyota Tundra owner here. I had a squealing power steering v belt for months, the power steering went out a few months after the squealing started and I would have to really gas it to make y-turns and take tight corners. The belt finally failed and I replaced it along with all the others. Power steering did not come back. I finally was in a position to start doing many repairs. I started with the steering rack and power steering pump replacement. Power steering worked for 30 minutes after replacing the pump but went back to its old ways. I took it to a mechanic who said it was a defective part I took it to another mechanic who said the same thing. I ordered a new pump instead of a remanufactured one hoping this would finally solve my problem and booked an appointment with a mechanic to make sure it was done right because I am an amateur. On the way to the mechanic my friend told me he was stuck in a ditch and needed to get towed out. I mosey down to where he was and tell him out of this ditch he was stuck in with a short chain. When I was done towing him the power steering came back entirely as if nothing was wrong. I took it to the mechanic and he said that I got lucky and then everything is fine and normal. Why did this happen?

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! You finally held your mouth right while driving it? Seriously, that is strange!
