Every time I roll the powered back window up while driving I hear a long tone outside of the vehicle. Anyone else experiencing this?

Probably designed that way, as toyota recommends not rolling the back window down and driving/moving. I think it is in the 2022 owners manual as well. I would not be surprised if the 2022 has some alarm or tone when someone does that.

I don't believe this is true. I have driven my 2022 with the rear window multiple times and there is no alarm or tone.

I could be wrong, I recall something weeks ago about it in the super long 3rg gen thread here. Maybe it is the fact that he rolls it down while driving, vs driving once it is rolled down.

I routinely roll the power rear cab window up and down while moving and all speeds and have never heard this. Maybe too much wind noise from the bad seals in my truck to hear it LOL.

Today I saw a post on Facebook of someone’s rear window shattering on his 4 day old 3rd gen for no rhyme or reason. He showed the footage recorded on CCTV, it’s just sitting there parked and it blew apart outward into the bed. Apparently it’s happened to a few trucks as seen in the comments. He was told he was #7 or something on a waitlist for a new window. Are these back windows possessed or something o_O

I have not experienced any type of alarm while raising or lowering the rear window of my truck while the vehicle is in motion.

I can honestly say from experience the 21 CM rear window is tough enough the snap the last 4" off my favorite medium/fast action graphite fishing rod without breaking....glass.

Sorry. It's actually happening when I am at a red light and I roll "UP" the window to a full closed position.
