It will affect everything, not just truck deliveries. I hope something is done.

LA area union worker are set to negotiate their next 10 year contract, and are asking anywhere from 5-25% raise, so beware that prices will go way up. Also, we just heard that truckers in the LA area went on strike yesterday (or was it the day before? I am losing count already) so yea, it will get way worse before it gets better.

That combined with Toyota announcing production cuts in San Antonio (announced today) would make for a lovely mess if you are waiting for a Tundra.

Custom bug spat pattern hood, grill & bumper. Dead Live Oak leaf collection under hood, cowl and lower fenders. Beach sand custom floor covering.
That is such a minor issue. Even a toddler can drive a tricycle.

As for the strike, in my 40 year career I can't remember a strike lasting more than a few hours before the Feds ordered the striking workers back to work. It usually took a few days or up to a week to get things back to normal. Lots of slowdowns.

Thanks to Hunter Harrison and the RRs leaning over to Wall Street this is happening. Meanwhile more freight is lost to trucking putting more wear and tear on public roads rather than the private RR.
