Hello, everyone! I have enjoyed lurking in this site for some time. I currently drive a 5th-gen 4Runner and have mildly built it (suspension, UCAs, tires, rear diff breather, skids, sliders, etc) to suit exploring off the beaten path. I still need a truck for hauling stuff, so my plan is to give the 4Runner to my wife to haul our three kids around and buy a truck. I thought I had my mind made up on a 3rd gen Tacoma, but then I got behind the wheel of one and was very underwhelmed. I started doing research on trucks, and the long term data shows that the Tundra is the only half ton worth considering. So I’m just here reading about everyone’s builds and problems they’re solving. My 4Runner will be paid off in a month or two, and then I’ll start seriously looking. Cheers!

We're a bit bias and most of us have a love for the Taco, Runner, Lexus GX, and the LC so we'd be splitting hairs But...
We are here for ya and are glad your considering a Tundra. Some of us are nervous about engine changes coming up (me) but that's another story.

Any particular trim or model your after?

Ideally, I’d like a 16+ CrewMax with the Off Road package and 38gal tank. But I’d probably swap out the suspension anyway, so I’m not stuck on the OR.

    I can’t believe the Tundra OR package doesn’t include a rear e-locker!

    Welcome from CO.

Only issues we solve around here is what everyone is grilling, doing, truck mods and area 51 bum rush coming up. Other then that, there are no issues with these trucks.

Do my eyes deceive me or do we have a quoted confession to the heinous and beastly crime of lurking?
