Hey all! I have an idea that could potentially save the engine from debris damage. Anyone know anyone that I could talk to? I’d like a new capstone in trade for my fix

50/50 either Marty McFly or a janitor from an Ivy League school outside Boston. Or LucasOil is developing a new additive called StopDebris and this is viral marketing.

At least entertain us with your idea of fixing these? Since you feel it’s worth being given a top trim level truck why not also ask Toyota to pay the taxes tags license and registration fees for it as well if you truly feel it’s a real solution. This has been the most lackluster thread.

Ok I have confirmation and phone call recorded to make sure I am credited with fix here it is.

A magnet attached to the engine in an advantageous location so metal shavings beeline to magnet instead of going to the camshaft.
    Whatcha think?

They already use a magnet tipped drain plug bolt. Pretty sure they’d of thought of this already as they employ some of the best automotive engineers in the world. I don’t see a magnet being a viable solution even using a powerful rare earth magnet. I’m just a lowly machinist and no engineer but in addition to that I can imagine a magnet would cause other issues

Of course! They’re right next to the glass magnets their polarities increase their magnetization or something or another

I think a can of Bear-With-Me™ Professional Bearing Restoration Additive will get you going right away when that pesky bearing failure pops up at the worst time.
Just dump a 1-liter can of Bear-With-Me™ Professional Bearing Restoration Additive in with your engine oil, and start your truck back up in the middle of the freeway.
You'll be out of those 80-mph 18-wheelers' way in no time!

Bear-With-Me™ Professional Bearing Restoration Additive–peace of mind, in a can

    Factory installed self-destruct device :D
Aluminum is weakly paramagnetic using a strong enough magnetic field, but it would take half a warehouse's worth of equipment to do so, which might be a tad inconvenient to tow around with a Tundra.

(Not to mention that it will make everyone's hair stand on end for half a city block all around, and make everyone listen to radio stations in their fillings without an antenna and all sorts of other fun things too. :D)
