I have a 2006 DC with 410k miles and about 10,000 Mi ago I rebuilt the entire front end with all new bushings everywhere, OEM lower ball joints, cvs, r&p, the whole works. The reason I did that was because I was getting a lot of vibration when I would touch the brakes and then I went and had my rotors turned but the Machine Shop said there was nothing wrong with them and they said I likely had other issues. As soon as I rebuilt the entire front end, all of that went away but there was a popping noise before I started working on my truck and I thought it was probably a lower ball joint or possibly an upper ball joint but I had nearly new jba upper control arms and I keep them greased. After everything was rebuilt, whenever the truck goes over a hump or if I take a turn onto an uneven surface there is a pop noise that feels like it's under my feet or somewhere in that General area. I feel like I can almost feel the pop vibrate through the floor. I crawled under my truck and looked at everything but I can't really find anything that looks loose or anything but I wondered if a cab mount could be bad. In this picture is the mount under the driver's side front and I don't know what it's supposed to look like but if they are original cab mounts then they have over 400k on them. I don't know what a bad mount would look like or necessarily feel like but I know it's a place of contact so anytime there's a place of contact then I guess there's room for something to pop. That was just my guess but I didn't know if anyone had any other ideas. Everything was torqued to spec when installed so I'm pretty confident that all the stuff that I rebuilt was done 100% like it's supposed to. But the fact that it was doing it before I replaced everything and now it's doing after I replaced everything leads me to believe that it's something that I didn't touch.20250206_110806.jpg 20250206_110814.jpg

Post some photos on driveshaft Carrier bearing, and suspension.

how are the Bushings on the steering rack? I was chasing the same pop noise as you. Rebuilt everything.

I had a new rack installed and it was gone for an about a week. Noise came back because the rack bolts were never torque down to spec. Once I tightened it no more noises.

You’ll KNOW when you have a bad mount. Trust me.

Did you find a solution? I’m chasing the same exact noise, driving me crazy. Clunking noise that I feel in my feet when I drive.
